pulk/pull (revolving doors)

here in Brazil
the word
" Puxe "
which is pronounced nearly exactly like

There are barn doors
And there are revolving doors
Doors in the rudders of big ships
And there are revolving doors
There are doors that open by themselves
There are sliding doors
And there are secret doors
There are doors that lock
And doors that don't
There are doors that let you in and out
But never open
And there are trapdoors
That you can't come back from
(from the album "amnesiac")

where i have been staying here
is on the 9th floor

we have three elevators
two of them are hardly ever on
sometimes run during the working week
with glum looking ladies
who sit on diminuitive stools
and push the buttons and pull the levers for us.

the building is half residential and half commercial
on almost every floor (maybe every..)

so sometimes i get on in my speedo-swim-trunks
and women in buisness dresses look at me strange
averting their glance as quickly as possible

while waiting for the lift yesterday
i noticed this floor also houses a specist in viruses
and nerve damage

a proctologist

(ha! you're telling Me!)
